With all the information out there, losing weight can seem overwhelming and confusing at first, but to lose weight, you’ll need to learn how to eat healthy food, exercise correctly and regularly, improve your sleeping patterns and make different choices than you’re used to. By doing all this, you can’t help but get closer to achieving your goals.
Besides eating clean food, there are a other things that can help you melt the fat and keep it off for good. Here are six.
1. Train with Weights
As you lose weight, your metabolism will decrease, so it’s important to add weight training to your regime.
Exercises such as the plank, yoga, and Pilates are great and will help your body become stronger by working the core of your body. But weight training builds muscle. Muscle is much more metabolically active than fat, so as you lose fat, having more muscle helps keep your metabolism on track and helps you burn even more fat. And don’t worry ladies, it takes a LOT of hard-core training to build huge mass.
2. Avoid the Bloat
Looking forward to getting into your swimsuit this summer, but dread it due to having constant bloating issues? By eating citrus fruits such as grapefruit, oranges, and tangerines, as well as Lactose-free dairy products, you’ll be able to reduce bloating by a lot. Too many processed carbs cause some people (me!) to hold water and get bloated, too. Of course, when you are eating clean, you won’t be consuming all those processed carbs.
Using these natural remedies can help reduce bloating as well as give you a boost of energy at the same time.
3. Become Mindful
If you’re not doing well with clean eating or finding yourself gorging snacks at midnight, then you need to give mindful eating a go. It’s the practice of maintaining discipline and becoming focused on the present moment.
Sitting at a table, thinking why you’re eating food, chewing your food thirty times before swallowing and taking smaller bites all contributes to helping you lose weight.
4. Tidy Up Your Surroundings
If you live in a messy environment, it’s more than likely going to cause an issue with your weight loss. If the house is cluttered and disorganized, it can cause stress – stress that makes you want to eat. Take a moment to check your surroundings and see how you can make changes to help you reap the benefits of weight loss.
Here’s an idea – clean off the kitchen or dining room table, and put a big bowl of fresh fruit in the center of the table, as this will get you to eat the fruit first rather than other less healthy snacks.
5. Say Goodbye to Sugar
Over the years, sugar consumption has been on the rise with more and more sugar-laden products being added to the marketplace. When you go shopping again, make sure to read the labels of non-sugar products because it’s highly likely they will contain hidden sugar.
You shouldn’t eat more than six teaspoons of sugar per day as it causes insulin to be created which helps move the sugar around your bloodstream and causes you to become overweight. It’s also known to affect your brain by causing you to suffer from brain fog. End the cravings now. The less sugar you eat, the less you will crave it.
6. Consider Using Supplements
Supplements are great to support your stomach and stress levels which help you lose weight. Using supplements such as probiotics, selenium, relora, and fiber. These all keep your cortisol low and keep your brain thinking you’re full. Disclaimer! – I am not a nutritionist, but some people find this to be a great combination for weight loss.
Using the above ways to lose weight while eating clean needs has seen success stories time and time again. Now it’s your turn. Good luck!
